Peter Stott is a lifetime entrepreneur, investor and a successful builder of places and community. In 1969, while 24 years old, Peter combined hard work, street smarts and $90 in savings to found Market Transport Ltd., a transportation and logistics company. In 2006, when he sold the enterprise, it was one the largest on the west coast. A lifelong Oregonian, Peter founded Columbia Investments in 1983 to partner with like-minded private equity and individual investors to create opportunities that positively impact communities. Through the Peter & Julie Stott Foundation, they support organizations that promote education, conservation, the arts and disadvantaged communities.
